The story on how did Jim Reeves die is as follows. On the 31st of July 1964 he was piloting a small single engine plane with
manager Dean Manuel. He became disorientated during a thunderstorm while attempting to land in Nashville and drove the plane
upside down and nose first into the ground.
Word spread quickly of the Jim Reeves plane crash and fellow musicians Chet Atkins, Ernest Tubb, Eddy Arnold and Stonewall
Jackson helped search for the wreckage. Jim was 40 when he died.
