Song Trivia:
Don Gibson was a well known country singer from the late 50's until about the early part of 70's
when his popularity began to fade. Known as the Sad Poet because his songs were often about loneliness.
Thru his career he did have several #1 hits, but Sea Of Heartbreak was not one of them. It did however reach
#2 on the charts for Don back in 1961. Gibson died at age 75 back in 2003.

The lights ... in the harbor ... don't shine for me
I'm ... like a lost ship... adrift on the sea
Sea of heartbreak ... lost love and loneliness
Memories of your caress ... so divine how I wish you were mine again my dear
I'm on this sea of tears ... sea of heartbreak
Oh how ... did I lose you ... oh where did I fail
Why ... did you leave me ... always to sail
Sea of heartbreak ... lost love and loneliness
Memories of your caress ... so divine how I wish you were mine again my dear
I'm on this sea of tears ... sea of heartbreak
/center>
Oh what I'd give just to sail back to shore
Back to your arms once more
Oh come ... to my rescue ... oh come here to me
Take me ... and keep me ... away from the sea
Sea of heartbreak ... lost love and loneliness
Memories of your caress ... so divine how I wish you were mine again my dear
I'm on this sea of tears ... sea of heartbreak
