This great entertainer was known to many of his fans as Waylon Jennings The Eagle. His dad taught him guitar at age 8,
and he had his own band by age 10. Producer and master guitarist Chet Atkins signed Waylon to RCA and Jennings
moved out to Music City in 1965.
Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson became friends in the early 70's and both wanted to produce a different sound
from the standard Nashville sound. Eventually they collaborated and produced a string of great songs.
